Spin Draft โ General Rules
These rules apply to all Spin Draft tournaments unless a tournament specifies additional stage-specific rules.
Submission & Deadlines
All roster selections and changes must be submitted before the official match start time.
If a match is delayed, the rescheduled start time is considered the valid lock time.
Changes submitted after the lock time will not be accepted.
Timestamps altered after submission do not override the official lock time.
Player Substitutions
Player substitutions must remain within the same team unless stage rules allow cross-team changes.
Substitutions after a team has played its first match may incur penalties as defined by tournament rules.
If a selected player participates as a substitute in the real match, their points will still count.
Team Changes
A selected team may only be changed if both the outgoing and incoming teams have played an equal number of matches at the time of change.
When a team is changed, any floater linked to the previous team is automatically removed and must be re-selected.
No team points are awarded if a match results in No Result.
If a match ends in Tie or Draw, both teams receive one (1) point.
Floater Selection ๐
A Floater is a flexible player selection within a chosen team.
Floaters may be changed without penalty before a match lock.
Floater eligibility and restrictions are governed by stage rules.
Super Player ๐
Each selector must designate one Super Player per match.
The Super Player receives a multiplier as defined in the Points System.
Changing a Super Player between teams is only allowed if both teams have played an equal number of matches.
If a Super Player is ruled out of the tournament due to injury, national duty, or personal reasons, a replacement may be selected without penalty.
If a Super Player becomes unavailable due to team elimination, standard substitution penalties apply.
Captains (Stage-Specific) ๐งข
Captain selection applies only in stages where it is enabled.
A Captain must be declared before each match; previous match captains are not carried forward.
Captains receive double points (positive or negative).
If a Super Player is selected as Captain, the combined multiplier applies.
Captain eligibility and limits are governed by stage rules.
Elimination & Final Stages
Elimination stage roster size may differ from league stage roster size.
Cross-team player selections may be permitted during elimination stages.
Player additions or changes in elimination stages may incur penalties.
Final stage may allow unrestricted player selection up to the maximum roster size.
All stage-specific roster rules override standard substitution restrictions.
Abandoned & Shortened Matches
If a match is abandoned without a ball being bowled, no points are awarded.
If a match is abandoned after play has started, points earned up to stoppage are counted.
In shortened matches, format-specific bonus rules may be adjusted.
Negative penalties (e.g., all-out) may still apply where relevant.
Run-Out Attribution
In cases involving multiple fielders in a run-out, points are awarded to the fielder who makes the direct throw resulting in dismissal.
Initial Tournament Lock
Before a team plays its first match, selectors may adjust initial selections without penalty.
After a team has played its first match, changes may incur penalties as defined by tournament configuration.
Fair Play & Platform Authority
All scoring is governed by the official Spin Draft scoring engine.
In case of statistical discrepancies, official match data sources determine final scoring.
